GABRIEL LUFRANO

Cinematographer, working between Barcelona and Milan.

Almost ten years in the industry. I started in production, and that background is still what lets me bring innovative visual approaches and workflows onto a set, adding a distinct flavor to the way a project gets built.

From there I moved into the camera department: four years as 1st AC on campaigns for Gucci Beauty, Louis Vuitton and Off-White first, then Digital Coordinator on the Dune premiere in Venice for Warner Bros. For the last three years I've been shooting as a DOP, for Massimo Dutti, El Corte Inglés, Adidas, GQ x Loro Piana, Aspesi, New Balance and Pedro del Hierro.

With a deep-rooted affection for Roots and Dub, I keep steering my visual exploration towards increasingly gritty, shadowy and heavy settings. Fueled by both passion and a degree in Media Design, I'm adept at weaving mixed media as both narrative tools and avenues for aesthetic exploration.
